Students submit through the same interface they always use, and instructors see results without leaving their grading workflow. No other AI detector offers this level of integration. Institutional accountability means ongoing development. Turnitin has contractual obligations to thousands of universities. When its AI detector produces bad results, there are institutional customers demanding fixes. This creates stronger pressure for improvement than exists for tools used by individuals. Turnitin has shipped multiple accuracy updates since 2023, and each has shown measurable improvement in independent testing.
Individual access is simply not possible. If you are an independent educator, freelance writer, or content professional, Turnitin is not available to you.
