Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of InkCloak("Service"), operated by InkCloak("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

InkCloak provides AI text detection and related text processing tools. Detection runs client-side in your browser. Humanization (where available) processes text via third-party LLM APIs.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate, process, or distribute illegal content
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Abuse the Service through automated bulk requests exceeding rate limits
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Prices are displayed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days notice.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancel anytime, access until end of billing period. You can cancel your subscription from your account Settings with one click. After cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time, except where required by law.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to text you input into the Service. We claim no ownership over your content. The Service itself, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by InkCloak and protected by intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that detection results will match any specific third-party detector, or that humanized text will pass any specific detection tool.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, InkCloak shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the jurisdiction where InkCloak is incorporated.
